Go-Float FAQs

How old do I need to be to rent a Go-Float?

You must be 18 years of age to rent a Go-Float. Photo ID is required. Participants ages 13 to 17 must have a parent or legal guardian to rent and sign all applicable paperwork. Participants ages 8 to 12 must be supervised at all times by the parent or legal guardian who rented the equipment.

Do I need to make a Reservation?

Reservations are recommended. Walk-in traffic is welcome but will be accommodated based on availability. Reservations can be made by phone or online using our reservation system.

When do I pay?

Payment is required in full at time of reservation.

Do you require a damage deposit?

We do not collect a damage deposit, but we do require an imprint of your credit card in advance of your outing. No charges will be applied to the credit card unless equipment is lost or damaged during your outing.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations must be made 5 days in advance of your reservation date. If you do not do so, we cannot refund your rental, as the equipment was then unavailable for others to rent and enjoy. Please contact Better Boating by phone if you need to cancel your Go-Float reservation.

Do I need experience?

No experience is needed. We will provide you with some basic instruction and guidance prior to launching.

Do I have to wear my life jacket?

Absolutely! Each participant must sign a waiver stating that you will wear your life jacket throughout your rental. The life jacket will keep you afloat even if you are tired or cold, and is a critical piece of safety gear. It is very difficult to put on a life jacket when you're in the water, so it MUST be worn all the time.
